Hallo,

well, I have installed succesfully the 3123 drivers on a Mandrake 9.0 distribution and all works fine.

In some threads I've read that you people try this drivers with games like RTCW, SOF2, etc... How can you make this game run on Linux?!?

Please, answer me, I want to play with this great OS.

Bye

Andrea

All that games have Linux-port!
You can purchase them from
www.lokigames.com

Well, you could purchase them from Loki, if Loki was still actually in business. But they aren't; apparently Scott Draeker (the former CEO-type guy) thought it was more important to buy his wife a large-screen TV than to pay salaries for employess. So they went bankrupt.

I've never seen SoF, so I don't know how it works. But if you go to Id's FTP site (ftp.idsoftware.com is it, I think), and look around, you should be able to find a wolf-linux-install-<version>.<architecture>.run file. This is the Linux installer for RtCW, all you need is the Windows Wolfenstein CD.

If you have the Windows UT CD(s), you might be able to find installers for Linux as well. I know there are versions out there for the original UT, and for the GOTY version.

UT2003 comes with a Linux installer on CD 3. It's not advertised, because it was added after Epic had already decided on box art, so they couldn't change it. But it's there.

Quake 3 should have an installer on Id's FTP site as well.
