I'm currently having very good performance and (I think) good IQ with my ViewSonic E70f+ playing most games at 10x7 8xS AA/16x AF with tri and aniso opts enabled, but I was thinking about buying a new monitor, something with 16x12 @ 75 Hz or better, and I wanted your subjective opinions about which will look and play better:

10x7 w/ high AA or 16x12 with no AA? I realize this probably also depends on the size of the monitors being compared, so let's just say I'd be using a 19" monitor for 16x12 (even though I have seen a 17" CRT or two than can handle 16x12)

All opinions welcome!

I prefer 1600x1200.. the textures look cleaner, the text is smaller... it just looks much better to me

I like 1024x768 with 8xaa and 4Xaf. The games I play look awesome at these settings.

For some reason I cant use 4xaa in BF1942 or UT2004 it causes this really nasty shimmering affect on the ground textures.

I dont like having that tiny text in my MP games when I'm online with friends its impossible to tell who the hell is who.

BTW I use a 19" monitor.
