Owen has left Liverpool to join Real Madrid, where england captain David Beckham already is. Argubly englands too biggest star at the club that loves to collect shiny things. Its a disapointment, but then Owen hasn't been performing for Liverpool consistently in a while, yet he's been scoring goals. Without him unless Baros and Cisse really up their game it could be a tough season.

He went for £8 million + a ~£10 million midfielder to liverpool. Thats damn cheap imo, we insured the guy for £60 million!

well, that sucks .... couldn't he have waited till after tomorrow's match? by the by, glad to see the EPL starting up again. we get a triple header Sat. morining (Tottenham v Liverpool, Aston Villa v Southampton, Middlesbrough v Newcastle) on Sportsnet. oh well. should be an entertaining morning even without him. :)

Well, I didn't expect Owen to leave that quickly etc...but pool still has, Baros and Cisse and Pagnoli. So u guys shouldn't be that bad....talk about striker crisis. We have RVN out, Saha too and Ole....all but done from football. We have one fit Smith....I won't mention Forlan or Bellion.

and did I mention we dun have any invention in midfield w/o Scholes??? and Giggs??? If those two got injured...we are...ugghhh certainly raining at OT at the mo......hope we geta result against Chelski.

But , we played well enough with possesion...just the play to and in the final 1/3 was ....well not polished. Crap crosses and Smith just didn't get the breaks...did I mention before, Forlanis useless? nope? Well He is uttely rubbish.
