N00B needs HELP! [Archive]

Hi,
I recently recieved my new XFX Geforce 6800 Ultra and it's getting brutally low 3DMark03 (6689) and PCMark04 (3908) scores. Even below those of my old Radeon 9800XT. Is there anyway I can change this? Am I doing something wrong? This is my first nvidia card so any help would be greatly appreciated.

P4 @ 3Ghz (800FSB Northwood)
ASUS P4P800 Deluxe
2 WD RAPTORS (2x74.3GB in ICH5R RAID 0 Array)
XFX Geforce 6800 Ultra (61.77 drivers... running at stock speed: 425mhz and memory at 1.2 ghz)
OCZ Dual Channel Platinum 2x512MB DDR400
Thermaltake TruePower 480w Power Supply
Antec Lanboy Case (2 chassis fans)

Hi

Did you do a clean WinXP installation? If not: DO SO! Really!

DriverCleaner is sometimes just not enough, to get all those nasty driver garbage from different brands like ATI off your sys!

BTW, what bios revision do you have on your card? (You can see it in driver settings tab)

My BIOS is 5.40.02.10.04
And no I haven't done a fresh XP install in a year.
BTW... All the multiplayer games I bought (like UT2004, Farcry, Call of Duty etc.) will i still be able to play them online after a new install of XP? or will i need new licenses?

Of course will you be able to play them online again! Just install them again, and re-enter your cd key`s during installation! No problem! No need to worry!

You will have around 40-50% more points in the benchs and of course more fps in your games after a clean install! Believe me!

How does Call of Duty @ 1600x1200 4xAA and 8xAF @ good constant framerate sound... ;)

Sven you are my hero! My 3DMark score went up to 11808 after I reformatted. Wow, everyone here is so much more helpful compare to the idiots on the ATI forums. I'm sticking with nvidia from now on.
