View Full Version : Hungarian Grand Prix
we interrupt the Michael Schumacher roadshow for this announcement: there are still other drivers in the series capable of winning! whilst it's only Friday practice, and Schumie was second (and could still easily win from that position), it's good to see McLaren competing, with Kimi at first and DC in fourth, and BMW still fast. Sato outperforms the best driver in F1 by 2 positions. however, where was Renault? Toyota has wasted yet another season, too. still, there are three teams that can topple Schumie, if only they can find the speed and the proper strategy.

and, Button-gate continues: http://www.tsn.ca/auto_racing/formula_one/news_Story.asp?ID=94287
Hmm, Hungary should be right on Renault's money...they have the chasisfor all teh bendy bits , and there is but 2 ..straights where all teh power of a v10 3 litre f1 engine is reqiured.
This is thee only track where other teams really havea chance methinks and good to see Toyota 5th along with Mclaren leading the way and Montoya showing the pace as well. 5 way battle for the GP please!!!
imagine this, 5 cars bunched up, last lap, last corner...hmm ok maybe not, hungaro ring is a bit on the narrow side :)

Michael Schumacher will win again....
But then, hope Raikonnen's car doesn't break down this time, and I'm sure he will give his best because of the unfortunate retirement last circuit.
The King is dead, long live the King.

Ferrari 1, 2 again .... :retard:
Ferrari 1, 2 again .... :retard:yah, we never have seen that before. looks like an easy Sunday drive for Schumie on route to his 12th win. if it wasn't for his momentary lapse of concentration in Monaco, he could easily have won all the races this year,

what is surprising, though, is the poor performance of the BMWs and the McLarens. after the intro of the new car, much was expected of Kimi, but qualifying in 10th wasn't it. disappointment is the only feeling Toyota has as they have wasted yet another season. BAR outperformed the BMWs with Sato beating out the self-proclaimed best driver in F1 (never to have won a race). i hope Button's car stalls on the grid.

Don't take anything for granted, the Kamikaze is starting behind him and the one slip Taku had in qualifying gave Spoonface the pole. That hang-off cost Sato a half second in sectors two and three.
Plus, both BARs may be heavy with gogo juice again. It seemed Sato and Button were pleased despite not starting front row.
Toyota have sacked a few ppl and merged some operations so maybe that will boost their 2005 chances?
But, man did MS manage to knock a few secs...which leads me to belive they are on light fuel load and perhaps the williams and macs are on a 2 stop stratergy instead
Schumie lulled the rest of the field, the spectators, and the TV audience, to sleep in an all-too predictable Ferrari 1-2 finish. normally, when the prancinf horse dances off to an insurmountable lead, there is some action in the rest of the field to keep viewers entertained. not so for the Hungarian GP. boring. the only disappointment for Schumie is that he didn't return the favour to Alonso and lap him, as Alonso did last year when he won.

with five races left, we are left to see who will win 2nd, not that being the first loser is any sort of consolation (but, the team that finishes second can consider themselves winner of the B teams, since none can compete with Ferrari).

Toyota is garbage--start planning for next year. Kimi again can't finish, and the BMWs, while both scoring points, didn't seem to be a threat to do anything. BAR? they have good cars but are a mess because of ego and greed. so, do we blame Ferrari for the boring state of F1? no! how can they be blamed for greatness? Toyota spends a ton of $$$ yet they can't produce. BMW is in the same position, whilst McLaren have completely dropped the ball re car development. so, within the rules, Ferrari produces an unbeatable car, realiable and fast, and everyone hates them because of their dominance, their speed. they are the Yankees of F1.
and the drivers? Schumie is the best of the current field, without a doubt. he holds nearly all the records, save pole positions (of which he needs 3? to beat Senna). is it his fault that he doesn't have a Moriarty? a foil, an equal to fight against on race weekend? does Montoya provide any real competion, or Sato, or Kimi? and, what about the best driver in F1 (never to win a race)? true, Ferrari has the best car, but it still takes a skilled driver to produce results, and so far no one has stepped up. maybe Mika Haikkonen could, if he returns next year to a top team, again provide competion for Schumie. until then, Schumie will race against himself, the track, and the back markers, since no one seems to be able to find the pace.
next up, the Belgian Grand Prix at Spa Francorchamps, one of my favourite races. :D
On the contrary, I think this is one of the most amazing times in the history of the sport. It is like watching the Dolphins perfect season or the Ravens 2000 defense. It is simply amazing that in a sport where SOOO much can go wrong, they keep getting it right. Ferrari is truly a team effort, soup to nuts.
As a BMW guy, I can't believe I'm saying it, but Forza Ferrari.

As a BMW guy, I can't believe I'm saying it, but Forza Ferrari.i am a Ferrari fan, and especially a Schumie fan, and am getting a bit tired of all the anti-Ferrari sentiment some F1 fans perpetrate. they are hated because they are great, and they are being blamed for the downfall of the entire sport, when that is not true. Ferrari is dominant, but they are not competing in a vacuum. where is the competition? it is up to the other teams to topple Ferrari, yet they haven't managed to do so yet.
hey Ferrari suck ok? :wtf:
:D
Nothing to fault Ferrari, they have the best package/team/strategy etc
just makes it boring for the rest thats all.

Ferrari team has clearly set the pace.
I hope other teams will be able to catch up next season....
