How do i enable fastwrites?

Hi all, i am running Debian 3.0r0 stable (woody) with the 2880 drivers, and currently fastwrites and SBA are both disabled. But i have them both enabled in the bios and they are supported by my card. Could anyone please tell me how to enable these as my ut2k3 fps are getting killed without them on. Thanks in advance! :)
