I just got the card this last week and built a new AMD Athlon 64 FX-53 Socket 939 system around it. At 430/1200 (Gainward Golden Sample Enhanced Mode) the system gets 13,100 in 3DMark03 and 69,950 in Aquamark3. See Sig Specs for Details.

This is an Antec Super Lanboy case, first thing I did when i bought it was cut out the Hard Drive cage that was blocking the airflow from the front 120mm fan. I will most likely be replacing the front and rear 120mm fans with something that provides a little more airflow.

With the Vantec Spectrum PCI Card Fan at 50% and 100% Fan speed on the Graphics card via the Gainward Experool the Highest I have seen the GPU is 78c w/ 53c Ambient. (Tested with rthdribl_1_2 for 1 hour)

I like! Does that Gainward come with dual dvi ports also are those two fans on the card loud?

That is one of the cleanest cable jobs I've ever seen! Very nice system very nice!

How's the noise from the Gainward dual fans? Looks like a sweet card.

noise isn't too too bad, it is easily the loudest part of my rig, the vantec card is loud too but i keep it at half throttle it isn't heard over the gainward fans, and it seems to cool the best there too, gets loud and warms up the GPU if i crank it up.

How did you get your system cabling so tidy?

How did you get your system cabling so tidy?

That is something i have gotten rather good at over the last couple of years, I was always paranoid about airflow so I usually pick cases that allow me to tuck things behind the mobo tray. I have a Coolermaster wavemaster as well that is very easy to work with because i can hide wires behind the mobo tray as well as the hard drive/cdrom drive cage. I spend quite a bit of time routing the wires as well. And may redo things from time to time if i get to thinking of other ways to route the cables.

If you look at the pics you notice almost everything is pushed behind something, if you just look at the mobo head on you might not notice it but at angles you can see where the cables are shoved behind whatever i could make use of.

word of advice about that lanboy case. do not use the carrying strap. i did and case fell out of it. i was so ****ing pissed. called compusa they said they couldnt accept it back because they wouldnt get credit from antec for it. urgh. now the side panel doesnt fit properly and the hard drive cage is of center.

btw how did you remove the hard drive cage?

There are rivets used to hold the hard drive cage in place on the bottom of the case and in the front (need to remove the plastic front portion) and two screws in the side panel on the side with no window. I used a drill with a bit that was small enough to drill into the hole in the rivet heads, then a slightly larger bit to snap the rivet heads right off, it worked out really well and was very easy. Sorry to hear about the accident with the straps, I have the older lanboy and the super lanboy and I threw those damn straps away as soon as i opened the box, they looked like bad news to me.

yeah when i was putting the straps on for the first time i was thinking whats stopping this from falling out the front or back. i figured it would be safe. got out to car, lifted case to put in back seat. SMASH. i just stood there thinking O M F G. i ran back in side slammed a power cord into it and thank god it still booted.

I can imagine the feeling. If i dropped mine like that i would have serious trouble, that silent tower would do some damage if bounced around too much.

It is getting darker out now, I thought I would post some pics that show off the lights a little better.

Very nice bro!

Here's my FX-53 box, not quite as tiddy as yours though. ;) The Slimline Zalman fan is cooling the Water Block, Northbridge and Ram.
