Ok , here it goes .
I have Gainward 6800 Ultra GS with BIOS 5.40.02.15.06
I want some more voltage for overclocking so i was thinking of flashing evga 6800 Ultra Extreme Edition but I cant download it since I have gainward card and I need S/N of the card at evga site.

So can anyone please send me the latest evga BIOS for 6800 Ultra Extreme Edition ( 5.40.02.15.07 )

450/1200 both 2D and 3D

Wrong...
2D => 400MHz Core/550MHz Mem
3D => 450MHz Core/600MHz Mem

The original bios that came with my eVGA UEE has
2D- 400/1.2 3D 450/1.2
http://www.mohadmin.com/clock.gif

The new bios has, from what I'm told ( Sorry I don't have a image of the new clock speeds yet) has:
2D 450/1.2 3D 450/1.2

Matching both 2D and 3D is the key to stability

Send me that Original BIOS if you can, then I can check with the ones I have :-) (mavke@mvktech.net)

Attached a screen dump of the new one with the BIOS Clocks indicated.

I just sent my GT back to stepup to the Ultra. Would it be safe to flash the ultra with the EE bios?

Is this safe with stock cooling and an average core temperature of about 63 degrees celsius during 3D applications?
Thanks

I've always wondered...what is the technical difference between an Ultra and an Ultra Extreme Edition? From just looking at the cards (eVGA's for example) they appear to be the exact same. So what is the key difference?

i did not get the e mail. they are the exact same cards. teh core is even labeled 6800 Ultra all they did was change the bios to an increased clock speed. so if u have a 6800 Ultra and flash it to EE u literaly have an EE if ur ultra can handle the increased speeds.

If you get your Gainward stable @ 450/1200 using this bios, please let us know. I've tested Ultra GS, for hours before deciding that 440/1280 is the fastest ROCK solid stable OC I could rely on. Blue screens and crashing after a few minutes of gaming if I went any higher.
