View Full Version : Leadtek 5900XT oc??????

I just picked up a 5900xt from a local computer fair for $100(couldn`t pass it up for that price) to replace my ATI 9500. My question is I have it oced to 440 (core) 875 (mem) and still climbing is this normal on these cards or did I get a gem and what should i expect for the max oc ??????? sry I am new to nvidia

You can expect whatever your particular card is capable of. There's no telling just how far your particular card will be able to OC. Just make sure you run a comprehensive battery of tests to ensure total stability. Just because a certain clock frequency might pass NVIDIA's internal test doesn't necessarily mean the card will be 100% stable at those given speeds.

If it has 2.2 ns memory it may go 950+ mhz. With good cooling the core might approach 500 mhz. Enjoy your new card, they are much better than they get credit for :)

My 5900XT goes up to 460/890 and probably a little higher if I tested thoroughly. This is with stock cooling, pooly vented case... Leadtek 5900XT here.
