Yeah, I actually signed up a few days ago, cos I was bored at work. Couldn't activate my account (or even view the board in this state) as I don't have access to my external e-mail on the military network.

X is in Australia mate, I will ask LordofLA if he has any suggestions, the ones that have been posted on vbulletin.com are a good starting point tho!

I really needed to get on an nvidia forum, fed up of fighting with ATI fanatics as they don't seem to see the potential that the 6800 Ultra has and the lack of potential that the X800 has... or should I get my coat? :p

Yes, the offending SQL query was identified and eradicated about 45 minutes ago

However, we will continue to upgrade the major software packages that are running on the server to their most recent version.

Well, if it wasn't, then both vamp and sytalor would be in a world of hurt ;) Actually, you're OK unless your French. In that case you could probably expect a coupla jabs in the political forum :D

Well welcome, and yeah email and stuff on a military base can be a bit, shall I say touchy. At UNM, many of our professors also work at Sandia National Labs (which is located on a military base out in NM). They are of course tight wrt security, and sending them a PGP encrypted email wouldn't be doing them a favor :) Nah, I hadn't done that, though one of my class mates suggested it one time

Oh, and if it's fixed, thx guys :) Beings that my parents only have dialup up in the boonies, there isn't much I can tell here. But I guess when I get home on Tuesday I'll be able to see the improvements for myself...

After seeming zippy for awhile, the nvn forum pages seem to be taking awhile to load again, today. Anyone else noticed this?

it does seem a bit on and off today...

generally quite fast but occasionally taking some time...

I dunno if its the net in general or just this site and b3d...

It seems more normal now, for my home connection. But this afternoon I was at school, though a different campus. That one gets to Maine by a microwave connect, then out over the OC-3 line. Other sites did seem more normal though.

Was (I'm sure you'll understand) a bit surprised (after things seemed improved) to be on a uni broadband connection and have trouble loading pages...
