View Full Version : Memory Cooling on NV5 Silencer?

There's no way I'm even considering buying one of these things until the price goes down drastically ($50 shipped? Come on Newegg, what are you smoking?)

BUT, my question is... the product specs say no memory cooling, but if you look at this image, it sure looks to me like hte mem chips are/would be covered. Don't you agree?

looks like it too me, but not sure, i havent really seen any reviews about it yet, but you also have to think of the memory on the back of the card

6800 series doesn't have any memory on the back of the card. 512 MB versions in the fall might, but all the 128/256 MB versions keep the mem on the front

how well does it cool?
how difficult/dangerous is it to put this on?

wait im all confused, wich one is that for the 6800 series or the fx, if its for teh 6800 series it should be in the other forum

frozencpu.com has them at a lower price, but they may be sold out of the ones for your card.
