i've installed coolbits2 and its not working!
i didnt have coolbits1 and i also get an error message when pressing the advanced tab in nview desktop manager!
error message:shell32.DLL,control_runDLL desk.cpl,@0,3
just before that message i get another message "nvcpl!"
can anyone help?
geforce fx 5200 128mb running 61.77 drivers

Sounds like a bad driver install. Go to DriverHeaven, download Driver Cleaner, follow the instructions contained in the program an reinstall your drivers.

done all that and its still saying: "an exception has occured shell.DLL....." after "nvcpl!"
thank god i've talked my wife into letting me buy a 6800!!lol

Then something might be borked from within Windows. Best bet is to format, but do that when you get your new card.

I had a very similar issue with the 61.77 drivers. It turned out to be a driver bug with the nVidia Object Desktop, and not a coolbits2 issue.

i'll have to use a different driver, any ideas?

I, for one, have had no problems with the latest leaked set. (66.00's).

Performance is similar across the board, save for meager gains in FarCry, D3, and noticeable gains in HL2's stress test.

I must note that as I do not have access to the stress test or CS: Source demo, I can only confirm the first two accounts.
