This man should have been fired. He pissed of a client. That is a no no. NEVER make a cliant mad.

It is like I have said many times a owner should be able to fire any one for any reason. I have no doubt this man was fired for heckling Bush also and if the boss wants to fire him for that then so be it. I personaly would fire any one for doing this but it is his business.

Last month, Charleston City Council apologized to two protesters arrested for wearing anti-Bush T-shirts to the president's July 4 rally. The pair were taken from the event in restraints after revealing T-shirts with Bush's name crossed out on the front and the words "Love America, Hate Bush" on the back. Trespassing charges were ultimately dismissed.

I thought only liberals ever tried to censor oposition protest, or at least thats what Vamp said, so it must be true.

woohoo, my post count is EVIL! :firedevil

It's not censoring when you're just kicking out two troublemaking assholes. ;)

Also, I don't count it as a protest that you're wearing a shirt.

If they were causing a serious problem, then it has nothing to do with censorship at all. Unless you know the complete NON slanted story, you wont know. It is possible they may have been viewed upon as potential riot instigators or attempting to incite a riot. Who knows exactly. Im not defending anything here, jsut offering a possible reason as I dont know either.

If you are directing that at me then don't be a jerk. Your first post in this forum and you start trying to flame me? I don't think so. If you want to engage in debate then do so. Don't just sit on the side lines and throw rocks. Maybe if you asked a few questions you might understand or learn something.

Unless you live in a communist country, people hire you under the assumption that you can make their business become more profitable. You aren't working just to make a living, you are working to give yourself and your employer mutual benefits. When you apply for a job you have to sell yourself to your employer. When you either fail to earn your employer some money, or somehow degrade your employers ability to earn money, you get fired. Guess what? This guy did exactly that!

And also, what Udawg is getting at is that no stupid rules should apply that say that just because you are a minority you are allowed to run your employers business into the hole just because of affirmative action. If somebody looks funny, they shouldn't be a model. If somebody works for the cowboys, perhapse they shouldn't promote the seahawks. If somebody wears nikes, maybe they shouldn't work for adidas.

When an employer fires somebody, they lose the productivity of that employer, and thus they lose profits. If they have a really productive employee, then they'd probably rather keep him for the money that he brings them rather than fire him because he looks funny.

True but I was mainly talking about freedom of association that is in the constitution. You know the little thing the liberals like to ignore.

Ok then, what makes YOU think employers should have the right to fire anyone for any reason they think is convenient for them?

My first post was hardly being a jerk or a jackass, TO ME thats just an extremely flawed logic at face value.

Granted it may be their business to run as they see fit, but that does not give them the right to piss on anyone anytime for any reason thats just :lame:

I know you all want to rip me apart now, go ahead. Typical internet forum right? Flame away. Last time I bother coming into the political forum......good bye and good riddance right? You win. :bash:

There is a little clause in the constitution called freedom of association. This means you can associate with anyone you want and the government can't do anything about it. If you wanted to have a all black business then so be it. If you wanted to have a all white business then so be it also. Now is this a smart business move by telling everyone you only hire this type of person? No it is moronic but you should have that right as out lined in the constitution.

Your first post was being a jerk. You did not debate the issue you just threw out a smart ass comment. I have no intention of ripping you apart and am not even mad. I just think it is silly to just toss out a few comments with out knowing what the other person is saying.

If you can't handle this forum then yes you should leave. You don't even know how to debate but rather take a pot shot then run away.

He was fired for being infected with a certain disease: stupidity.

Not because of this political beliefs but for the fact that he was a guest of a client and acted like an asshole. In business there is no room for an opinon. If you get stupid and feel the need to voice that opinon in a public forum with a very powerful client talking, you need to bite your tongue and shut up. I may not disagree with what he says, but that does not give you the right to open your mouth. He was rightfully fired.. (again not because of belief, because of stupidity).
