No. You need two variables to calculate the bandwidth: one is the memory bus width and the second is the memory frequency.
Bus width is 128-bit but you have no information on actual memory frequency.
let's put it this way. NV30 won't have memory much faster than 500MHz. with a 128bit bus, it won't have memory bandwitdth equal to or greater than the R9700Pro.

I hope NV35 has a 256-bit bus, if Nv30 is only 128-bit, because I am not spending $400-500 on new graphics card with less bandwidth than Radeon9700

even if it ends up performing faster than the 9700?

So if NV30 has less bandwidth but still outperforms a R350, you will not buy the NV30? Don't base all your decisions on one technical aspect by itself.
Also, the Parhelia should crush the GF4 Ti 4600 and the Radeon 8500 series with nearly 2x the memory bandwidth, but it doesn't. Look at the whole performance before making a decision.

If the NV30 has less bandwidth, but an architecture that's much more efficient as the 9700 at handling memory, I know which one I'll go for.
Time will tell...
