The title pretty much sums it all up. I've got a GT heading my way now, and I'd like to keep the l'il furnace's heat reined in as much as possible, just for stability and longevity more than overclocking. What kinds of options are out there now, and does anyone have personal expertise with any of them?

From what ive read, coolers like the arctic silencer arent making much, if any difference to temps. The only real way to lower them is to go water cooling i think. I have a PNY 6800GT and it runs from 58C to 85C depending on program (max temp is fullscreen rthdribl) and thats well within safe limits. I would just make sure you have good air flow through your case and you should be ok :)
