Here we go again... This release has been known to be extremely solid and has been going strong for 2 weeks now. I hope HL2 stress testers try out this release.

That strange... I opened the zip file and saw all files included nv4disp.inf dated 12 August 2004.

is sm3.0 enabled in these or do you need to mod the .inf? Seems all the unofficial releases so far dont enable sm3.0 for some reason.

no differences (performance) to 65.62 but the stuttering in CSS is gone :D thank you, 66.00 :)

VST: 1280x960, max. details, 4xAA + 16:1 AF 81fps
3DMark2003: 10.410
Aquamark: 56.489

Btw, can anyone confirm that 66.02 are on nv dev site?

FarCry didn't change, but Doom³ seems to be a lot faster compared to 61.77 (20%).

Edit: There seem to be problems with the 66.02 on the nvidia dev site. several guys told me, that it's available but pav doesn't see it. so we'll see.

Conpared to 65.62 no speed increases...except in Flight Simulator 2004, it now WORKS with no problems. With 65.62 it would crash with an error right after the initial loading screen...WOOT! Thanks!

Im a little confused by all these betas. Does this mean that nvidias next offical drivers will be 66.00 or above? Or will it be 62.xx?

Doom 3 ran fine but I seem cant changed AF setting in Doom 3 profile, look like it locked?

I have never had any luck downloading anything off of your site. I click the download link and it just takes me back to the main page.

I've tried this in both firefox and in IE6.

Anyone notice the new options under performance & quality settings?

Anisotropic mip-map filter optimization
Anisotropic filter optimization

Any ideas of exactly what they do? I'm not a know it all.

No speed increase or decrease with these for me. Was using 61.77's tried them on Halo, FarCry, and ut2k4. Dont know about opgl stuff like doom 3. I'll keep them cuz I'm too lazy to un-install.

THe most interesting part, there's 2 6800NUs.

NVIDIA_NV40.DEV_0041.1 = "NVIDIA GeForce 6800"

NVIDIA_NV41.DEV_00C1.1 = "NVIDIA GeForce 6800 "

First one is of course the NV40 core one, with 4 pipes disabled, second one seems to be NV41 core probably with 12 pipelines max, I wonder if Nvidia is replacing the NV40 6800NUs with the NV41 cores in the future....
