BTW, Which device do you have set as the primary device in the driver? Is it the monitor or the TV? If you are in clone mode, you could try switching them to see if that helps.
Did that help?

I'm very sorry for whatever caused your smiley face, but things will get better.
i thing maybe there is some problem with the sistem becouse last night i started to play TRIBBES Vengeance and the frame rate drops rapidly when i am using ultra quality for the textures but when i change it to hight qualiti the game runs very good
from sometimes 15-20 fps at ultra qualyty textures to 50-60-70 and up:) on hight qualyty textures
i dont think i shold be doing this after all they recomebd radeon 9600
i thing there is som problem with the memory or the power suply
how can i foun out if there realy are the problem??

Could it have to do with the way the GLUT fullscreens? Check your args.txt and change the fullscreen opt to 'false'. Hell... who knows, it might work.

Hey all,
I'd like to add my story in hopes to solve others that own a 6800 NU and expirence very slow performance with Nalu.
With my old settings, I found that I could run Nalu 6600 at around 10FPS and felt that this was a bit slow. When I tried to run Nalu 6800, my machine choaked big time and ran it at about 1 frame ever 3 seconds! No, that's not an exaggeration. It was a slide show and my system ran so slow, that I could use any of the menus. What I found strange is that Doom III (also an OpenGL app) ran great.
Anyway,
After searching some of these Nvidia forums, I found one suggestion that worked perfectly. It was so simple too.
1. Change your AGP apature size to 256MB (for systems with 512+ system memory)
2. Disable fastwrites.
OMG! Let me tell you that those two little steps changed everything. Now my 6800 gets around or over 20FPS in "Nalu 6800" and I'm running 30+ in "Nalu 6600"
I just thought I should share this for anyone else having problems with very slow Nvidia demo performance.
Motherboard drivers up to date? AGP 3.0 makes a huge difference with 6800.
How do I know if im running AGP 3.0?
...i increased my aparture size to 256mb... nalu demo became 20fps! :) but after installing a new forceware driver, 70.20eg... my framerate went down to 9fps... and even if the rendering is only lies/dots... my framerate was now the same, 9fps...
can anybody make a suggestion?...
wer do i disable fastwrites??
