I've got an AMD 64 3500 non oc and a 6800 ultra running at 425 core clock and 1.1ghz memory. Forceware 61.77

I'm getting a 3dmark 2003 score of 12195.

Is this to be expected ? Or is it slower than it should be ?

Bearing in mind I am running A64 3000+ @ 2.3GHz, 6800GT @ 420/1150 and I get 12,800. 3500+ is rated at 2.2GHz IRC, so you might want to OC it slightly.

Overclocking the CPU might compensate for the 700 point difference between the two systems, but I doubt it. To the thread starter, your score looks perfectly fine.

Cool, i was concerned because the memory benchmark in Sandra 2004 was showing much lower memory bandwidth than the reference Nforce 3 system. Not sure why this is the case but its good to hear that the 3d mark is in the expected range. Perhaps Sandra is wrong.

Are you sure you're running in dual-channel mode?

Nice job you have done with that system. I almost built one of those myself. It was tempting.

If you're interested, I have just tweaked my Vdimm to 2.75V and now running at 240MHz fsb 1:1, so now it's 2.4GHz. Not bad if you ask me! I'll run 3d03 and see what difference that makes, hopefully I'll break 13,000!!

Well you get what I get with my rig when its OC'ed to 3.4 that's a 230FSB and the card 425/1.15 in 3dmark03, however this is with 2.5-2-2-5 ram timings unfortunately, and most importantly that score(12,800) is done with high quailty driver settings or no anis/tri optimizations, AND with AA/AF at application controlled>so 3dmark03 can apply its desired level of 4xAF. Aka I cut no corners.

Your results are very good, and if I had built an AMD system this year I would have done the same exact thing. Again I like your set up. WTG. I have to scale all the way to 3.810 and a 254 FSB(3-3-2-5) with the card at 439/1.17 to see 13,600 in 3dmark03.

EDIT: I might add all this is using the 66.00 beta driver. I have no idea what effect it has had as of yet. I tried the card at 439/1.17 with my rig on 3.4 just now, testing as I mentioned before, and it reports 13,100.

PS, see if you can coax 1.19 out of that RAM next time you bench. That will help a tad if you can't score anymore on your core.

Are you sure you're running in dual-channel mode?

In a word, no :)

I've put the DIMMS in the slots indicated for bank one (its colour coded on this board) but i've done nothing to turn on dual channel mode as such.

I've got a MSI Neo2 Platinum socket 939.

Shouldn't a AMD 64 witht that card be faster?
I get that result with an Athlon XP 2.3ghz and a VIVO@ 510/575 16 pipes.
That's not even full XT PE speed yet.
His CPU is a lot faster. I know 3dmark is more stressing for the GPU than the CPU but still: Shouldn't a 3500+ perform better. Around 12800 would sound about right to me.

I get 12254 and you can see my system below.

The scores sound about right to me. I get about 12500+ on my FX-53 (socket 940) running at stock with a 6800 Ultra clocked at 425/1200 on the 61.76 drivers. This is with all optimizations off and using application preference for AA/AF. With optimizations on I score another 100 points or so.

Your scores sound about right to me.. My system is similar to yours only it's overclocked and I'm getting 13,667.

This is at CAS 2.5-3-3-6 and 460/1200 on the GT.
