ive had my XFX 6800u since mid june and ive never had this problem till now
the problem is i am getting artifacts like ive overclocked my card but i have not
the card is currently doing 425/1200
i tried down clocking the card to 400/1100 but i still get it
ive even tried reinstalling the drivers but the problem is still there

what else can i try
is this a sign my card is on its way out
the current temps are 61c idle and after playing doom3 75c ish
thanks

ok man, i was getting the same thing with my xfx, white dots in halo and far cry,
i underclocked the memory to 1170 and they vanished, have you checked under the heat sink, mine had a huge gob of thermal compound maybe you 'll need to clean it up and add your own

I had the same problem with mine, try flashing the nvidia rev 02 BIOS, that solved the problem here but i still can't oc my card to my old xfx stock speeds

XFX needs to revisit how it's handling its Ultra cards. I too had one of their Ultras that started fine at stock speeds but then would develop artifacts and stutter. I had to back off on the clocks to 1.15 GHz to get it stable.
