6aa doesnt work with nvidia cards in source...so when your doing 6aa ur doing NO aa....

08-26-04, 04:05 AM
ah no wonder results were so close to the no AA ones.. thanks :)

08-26-04, 04:14 AM
Funily enough is results with the 6XAA and the ones with 8XAA are very similar.Still with the lates (8XAF and 4xAA) in High quality he has a loss of 27 fps to the 6xAA & 4xAF, what is not a huge hit.
What are your settings on the Nvidia CP?Image to High quality or Quality?Opts on or off? That may make a bigger diference in the end test

nVidia settings are all listed above

each video setting is done with first Highest Performance, then Highest Quality

well no effense, but why are you showing us benchmarks running at 1024x768?

what is your problem with that?

someone is nice enough to take a few mins of their time post their findings on something not available to the public....man some people...be a lil appreciative. You could ask nicely?

Maybe he's working on benching at higher resolutions right now as we speak?

@eva2000 : Thanks for sharing the info.

Why does everyone lists 3DMark03 scores since it's run at 1024x768?

I just assumed that you were using 1024X768 because of your 15" LCD. Isn't that its native resolution?

I think his reply/post was a reply to a post above mine

He could be doing the benches in 800x600 for all i care.Thats the resulotion he plays at probably 1024x768.Any info is always apreciated, and good for discussion.I would like to see some benchies for a GT at 1280x1024 (LCD in here also)

only have 15" LCD and it's max resolution is 1024x768 heh.. one day one day 21" 1600x1200 LCD 16ms hehe one day....... not soon enough though

also web stats show 50-60% people still run their monitors at 1024x768

How's this for raw power

3.2EE@233fsb at 1.8v vcore idle - 1.632v vcore load

while 2x Prime95 v23.8 instances running in background ran with 4xAA & 8xAF with

Highest Performance driver settings = 114.41 fps
Highest Quality driver settings = 102.20 fps

Yes, I was trying to be a little sarcastic and say that just b/c it's at 1024x768 doesn't mean it's not valid or useful. Afterall, people compare 3DMark03 scores all the time and they're almost always at 1024x768.

Thanks for sharing your results eva2000.

I've been playing it at 1280x1024 with 4x aa and 16x af and with fraps im getting an average fps of around 80. (Not a test just good ol fashion fragging ATI fanboys). Just a note though that my core gets to 68 degrees playing this. 10 higher than Doom 3 at the same resolution and filtering!!! Damn valve trying to fry our cards.
