TV hides mouse (monitor not)

I have installed mij nvidia card with the nvidia drivers and used their howto to enable tv-out. So far so good.

However when running X on tv I don't see my mouse. I know it's there because when I move it, different parts of the screen got focus.

Does this sound familiar?
My specs:
Intel PII-350
Diamond Viper 550
Redhat 8.0

yup. got that problem too, in some resolutions.

i use the nvtv app when i want to watch avis and such, and since i do get a cursor in some resolutions, i think it helps when you fiddle a bit with the CRT regs.
haven't tried it myself yet though.
