View Full Version : Flash BIOS - need to make MS DOS boot cd

I want to flash my Geforce FX 5200 BIOS....the instructions tell me I need to make an MS DOS boot floppy.

The problem is I don't have a floppy drive in my box.

Is there a way to make an MS DOS boot cd???

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks :)

May I ask why you would want to flash a FX 5200?

Well, if you plan on flashing it with Ultra BIOS don't. The memory can not handle ultra speeds even if the core does.

lol, im curious too, why flash a 5200?

You can flash a lot of cards to get better performance. All you have to do is tweak the BIOS. ;) i.e. memory latencies, core voltage, and clock frequencies.

Yes you can rewt !

No reason why someone wouldn't just want to tweak their own bios and then reflash with it ?

But obviously you cant do any flashing unless you have the facilities like built-in win9x/DOS or a CDROM/Floppy to do it with ?
