Well I just checked out the cappapy ati demos. The chip thing runs but I can't believe people look at that and think, "wow my ati card is great". You can't zoom in close to anything the bumpmaps look unbumppy, I didn't even see specular lighting and the textures looked lower rez compared to NV demos of the same time frame. It could be because it not running on a compromised ati optimized equipped system but I doubt it. The ruby demo wouldn't run, it gave a bunch of PS and VS errors at any setting. I'm not even going to look at the others. I must say seeing that makes me feel even happier I've stuck with NV. FP32 thats all I have to say, FP32.

Ati demos aren't bad at all. Use 3D-Analyze with the option "NV40 fix for R420 demos" checked. And while you're at it try the crowd demo too. ATi has come a long way since the chimp demo.
