I just bought an 6800 GT from 2+ years of using ATI products. What are the steps one should take before updating your drivers for nvidia? And for the beta drivers, if there is no installer for it do I just go to properties/adapter/driver and update driver from there? Could it be said that I can just uninstall my drivers from there as well or is there a generally more accepted method.

Thanks in advance.

Since you're moving from ATi make sure you use Driver Cleaner 3 to remove those nasty ATi files. Also, for driveres without installers use Device Manager (which I prefer to use this way all the time anyway). I recommend the 65.73 WHQL drivers.
Enjoy your 6800
