No clue, but that was a pretty sleasy move by ATi...
The rumor that nVidia was going to name their next card Eclipse for the last year now, so ATi pattents is this MAY!
I guess nVidia wasn't going to call it the Eclipse, or they would have patented it sooner, but still that's just a sleasy move...

That is a good move from ATI if Nvidia was gonna use it now they must waist time thinking of proper name

I think if nVidia was going to use that name they would have patented it straight away.
I wonder if they've decided what they're going to use yet.

I thought it was good when I found it. Had to shrink it quite a bit to make it my avatar. I was suprised the words were still readable.
EDIT - BTW, I was looking at trademarks of nVidia and I came across 2 I hadn't heard.
1. 'See what you've been missing'
2. 'nVidia the way it's meant to be played with a pic:

I know it isn't of their new card but something I've never seen before.
The dates they was filed were interesting too both March and May of this year.

Fire up American Army Ops and you'll see the second logo as a splash screen.

That logo was developed to put on the boxes of game titles that were specifically optimized by their developers to run on nVidia cards. They had a spread on nVidia's site about it around the time the GF4 hit the market.

I think I noticed that logo when I installed SoF2.
