lol... this is priceless...

Former British Prime Minister Baroness Thatcher has posted bail for her son Sir Mark, who is accused of helping to fund an alleged coup plot in oil-rich Equatorial Guinea.

Lord Bell, Lady Thatcher's spokesman, declined to confirm or deny the report, which first appeared in The Times newspaper.

But a source close to the former prime minister confirmed to the UK's Press Association and The Associated Press that she had provided the bail money.

Mark Thatcher was under house arrest at his residence in Cape Town, South Africa, pending the posting of a bond set at 2 million rand ($300,000).

Yeah he's always been a bit of a luck rider, but although he isn't the smartest man in history, he's not a total moron. What possible advantage would it serve him in helping a coup in some insignificant country, he'd do better investing in google stock.

Have you read the background of those "mercs" they arrested? One of them founded executive outcomes, it is far more likely they were actually going to guard diamond mines. Instead crazy governments will use them to distract from their own corruption and lies.
