Anyone here got this problem?

It happens to me with two completely different SMTP servers.

I tried everything: Reinstalling Eudora, reinstalling windows, even reinstalling my Smoothwall rounter software. Nothing worked. I'm about to try and connect my cable modem directly to my PC and try it (as soon as I have time, maybe tomorrow).

What's bugging me is that it started to happen shortly after upgrading my system to a nForce3 mobo (with the integrated LAN interface). I'm thinking even of installing a PCI card and trying it before doing the cable-modem exchange.

I'm just curious if anyone else had this problem...

Heck. I had to post this to find the cause of my trouble. After searching in Google, I found out this post on some forum (http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/thread-search.aspx?ForumName=wow-tech-support&Author=Folken&Cluster=WoW) (not related to my problem but still):

I opened up the Device Manager openend up the properties on the Network Adapter then did the following on the Advanced Settings tab:

-Disabled "Checksum Offload"
-Disabled "IEEE802.1P Support"
-Disabled "Segmentation Offload"
-Set Speed/Duplex to 100FD Autonegotiate

I didn't need to do that last step, and my problem is gone (at leat, until now I had no more problems sending mail - and I've had it for 5 days now).

It seems, after all, that the integrated NIC was the source of all my troubles...
