Does anyone know anything about http://www.factcheck.org ?
Just wondering what the consensus was here on it. Slanted either way or relatively objective?
First I've heard of it. You will have to watch it for a while.
Yeah, it seems relatively new...archive only goes back to late 2003.
they seem to be relatively balanced... have information on both sides of the spectrum... i think a few people have linked em here before pertaining to certain topics...
I think reading the matter they have you can see for yourself if they have a slant one way or the other, its just never seemed like it to me :)
i think a few people have linked em here before pertaining to certain topics...Odd, I did a search for it first here and had no results. It does seem to be relatively objective, the longer it's around the better we'll know I suppose.
I do all my news searches through google news... factcheck usually shows up on the first coupla pages of related headlines/topics... its not everywhere though as you pointed out so maybe not everyone will give it a hit...
I know i have linked em for at least one article (can't remember what it was for though)
One researcher is suspect for me. He has a MBA from Yale and worked on Edward Kennedy's campaign staff. I am bias, as I don't have a high regard for Edward Kennedy. Still, that does not make that researcher bias so maybe just watch the site. It may be a good one and strives to deliver unbias facts...such a site is needed, IMO.
