I have a PNY 6800GT, great card.

I currently have a Antec Case that has 80mm fans three of them, one in front on in back and one on the door.

I am going to get another Antec case that only has two 120mm fans.

My goal is quiet, cool and stable. I dont do any overclocking..CPU or Video card.

My question is how well does the NV5 fit on a GT? I have read threads that talk about it not fitting well on the ultra with out modification......I really dont want to modify anything just replace if possible.

Thanks

it fits the GT perfectly. the problem with the ultra is the backplate. the ultra has a double backplate for added support, the GT does not. And it is a very quiet fan.

What if quiet is not the goal can you crank the fan speed up on it?

I have a silencer on my XFX 6800GT I'm also using Gainward's EXPERTool to control the fan speed, its very quiet.

All I gotta do now is kill the noisy Northbridge fan with a Zalman passive heatsink.
