Fun to play with, but I still dont think the game will ever be released if they insist of adding the latest tech to the game all time. And new stuff in our gfx cards come all the time ....

Meqon? Theyre shooting themselves in the leg again not using "standard" stuff like Havok that is tried and tested.

EDIT Hmmmmm perhaps meqon isnt so bad after all.. seems faster than havok.

Whoa, they're using Meqon? that's cool, it's by far one of the most impressive physics systems I've seen. I REALLY hope they have physics-driven animations, that would be awesome!

The best current FPS games for physics are imo:

1. Painkiller
2. Max Payne 2
3. Far Cry

Battlefield2 looks very promising. I cant wait for realistic physics with vehicle combat.

Doom3 was pathetic in the physics department, you could move like one box in each map and fading bodies hardly make for fun ragdolling. Shame on carmack.

Painkiller and Max Paine 2 ? there is hardly anything to move :eek2: , Far Cry does have alot of cans and rag dolls.

Doom 3 isn't a game I'd want with realistic physics....demons in Mars....enemies spawning all the time, don't wanna worry about boxes I've ran in to on the way in to a room getting in my way of my exit =\

The game has gotten so far beyond a joke now anyway.

You musthave not played them too much?

In Painkiller all the boxes blow into pieces that have physics, everything from wheel carts to barrels are pushable. Sometimes 20-30 ragdolls on screen. You can nail the enemies to the wall from any place limb by limb. And in the big boss levels there are thousands of stones flying around, especially the guy in the demo with the hammer. Sure it could do with more destructable environments like any game.

In Max Payne 2 scripted explosions have physics objects almost every time.. and the bullet time makes the best use of ragdolls to date. You cant forget scenes like the first one where you shoot a guy into a rack of cleaning supplies in the hospital. Mmmmmmm physiiiiics. :)
