will motherboard monitor take the temp from the cpu even tho the motherboard does not monitor the temp?

No, you have to have a heat sensor to monitor the temp. If the board does not have one take a look at some third party units like Digital Doc 5 that come with temp sensors you install.

I can appreciate confusion here. If you go into sisoft sandra w/the 8sg667 you'll notice that it does actually produce a measurement for your CPU temp. That is, a measurement that changes wildly every time you refresh it. You would think it would show a 0 or say something about it being "not supported" rather than freaking out like that.
