My apologizes if this has been posted before, but several members on this board have experienced the same problem and I wanted to make sure they are aware of this issue. (mag)

Interesting. I originally had the .14 BIOS on my Point of View 6800 Ultra and had REAL bad lockups, flashing the .15 Leadtek BIOS solved ALL the problems I was having. On a side note, both BIOS's give me the same 3DMark scores.

is this the real reason behind too much cpu using when running WMV-HD?

Elvis2 does your evga 6800ultra have difference speeds for the 2D and 3D if it does you can get the update Bios at Evga website and it will change it so the 2D and 3D have the same speed 425/1100.My Bios was 5.40.02.15.07 and it had different speeds for the 2D and 3D it was 400 for 2D and 425 for the 3D.The update has the same Bios number but it fixes the clock speed so both are the same.Look in your display properties and click advance and then the 6800ultra properties and it will show you your bios imformation.

If you're not having problems, don't flash...unless you want to potentially screw up your several hundred dollar investment.

You can always reflash it with a backup :lol2: , I just want to compare performance with different bios

I had problems with the first pov bios, then i reflash it and since then ive learn a lot about it !! :ORDER:

I still can't say my card is stable. I have visual artifacts from time to time, it all disappears after a restart. The funny thing is I can "play" UT2004 and Doom3 8xS/16xAF HQ at 1600 and none of these graphical errors appear. They just "happen" from the beggining when the game goes into 3D or not at all. If I go back in the game,it might do it again or not at all. Its as if the drivers crash! I'm currently running on WinXP to see if it excibits the same issues. I'll take an SS if it happens again.
