Video Card price cuts?

I noticed with the new video cards coming out, the x800, the 6800U, nothing slower has dropped in price, rather the new cards just get more expensive, were in the 500 to 600 range now with prices for video cards??? thats horse **** 2 years ago no video card was that expensive, are they just gonna keep getting higher and higher??

it's about supply? there is very limited supply so u canl expect teh prices to remain high untill supplies (ie GPU and memory parts) can be sorted out...at every level.
