Iraq has smallpox... thats just great. The eradication of smallpox was one of the greatest victories of medical science, the only way it will threaten the human race again is if a human being releases it. If that happened it would be the ultimate irony of human nature recorded in the history books. I am sure we can trust in Saddam to be using those smallpox samples for purely medical research... not.

They should have destroyed all samples of the virus years ago. If you really need to study it, map its genome first, then destroy it.

As for your post itself, he has a very good reason for making this post: Smallpox should scare the crap out of anyone. It's really nasty stuff and even the vaccine has nasty side-effects. It was championed as one of the greatest achievements of the 20th century when Smallpox was officially declared erradicated.

I'm not worried about smallpox, my mother told me I contracted it in Honduras(eh freaks me out, shouldn't I not be here or all scarred up?) but anyways, I already have my vaccination for it. So now worries here, BRING IT ON! :D
