Hi Guys!
No we haven't delayed 3DMark05 at all. The shots (with the D-CROSS logo) which were from an early build of 3DMark05 were never intended to be released. 3DMark05's working name was 3DMark04, just like 3DMark03's was 3DMark2002. :) All products (software and hardware) have working-names.
If you want to check out a new, and official shot, look here:

Hope you enjoy it!
Hey, that was some nice PR. Well done. :)

']Hi Guys!
...
Hope you enjoy it!
First off, let me say that it's nice to see someone in the benchmark scene post here.
Then, nice sshot indeed :D
Just to know, do you support sm3.0 in 3DMark05 ? And 3DC ?
(now, if you prefer not to answer my question now I can understand it. Marketing is a bitch, I know ;))

Hey!
Glad to hear that you like the shot! I was actually supposed to post some data about it (polys on screen etc) but forgot to do it. Oh well.. I might update the newspost tomorrow when I get my hands on that data!
About your questions; yes we do support SM3.0 (which is a DX9.0c shader model) in 3DMark05, but not 3Dc.
If you want more info on 3DMark05 now, I suggest that you read these following interviews we have done:
http://www.beyond3d.com/interviews/fm04/
http://www.ati-news.de/HTML/Berichte/Interview/3DMark/Interview-Seite4.shtml
They contain some info on the upcoming 3DMark05, and how it works (engine, which features we support etc)!

As Nick already answered , i think that 3DMark only supports those official Direct X features that came from MS .
ATI-News: What is your opinion of vendor exclusive features like the 3Dc compression technology? Are you going to support it? Futhermore: What compressions technologies will be supported with the next version of 3DMark?
Nick: As far as I know, 3Dc is an ATI specific feature, and therefore not so interesting in regards to the next 3DMark. 3DMark05 will use DXT1 for color maps, DXT3 for alpha maps and DXT5 for normal map compression.
http://www.ati-news.de/HTML/Berichte/Interview/3DMark/Interview-Seite5.shtml
supporting specific features from the graphics chips manufacturers like the 3Dc (from ATi) & the UltraShadow (from nVIDIA) features would be good , but i dont think that FM is obliged to implement them on thier 3DMark program .
.. of course Nick can comment on this if he likes ! :)
& these 3DMark2005 interviews are very informative
mmmm any idea on a release date? I cant wait :) It looks amazing!
