hi, i've got a problem with mega-large fonts in my Linux Mandrake 9.0. After installing latest drivers (1.0-3123) my fonts become very large. I hadn't any problems with instalation (srpm), no errors, , there is the nvidia logo on the X starting, acceleration is working, all is fine, except fonts. When I uninstall drivers then fonts are smaller again. please help me
my comp: Athlon 1GHz, g2 mx400 64 mb, 256 DDR, soltek 75DRV mainboard

That happens when you get the drivers workng. You should also notice that those bigger fonts are cleaner and smoother looking.
Its not a big deal. Just into the Gnome configuration, fonts section and change then to a size you like.

Ok, have you tried adjusting them yet though.
Have you gone into you're desktop preferences and set them smaller.
You can also figure out how big a 75x75 dpi screen would be (in millimeters), and put it in your XF86Config-4 file. I had to do that the other day when my X server decided that my monitor was no longer 100dpi, but actually 75 -- although I did it in reverse. I took the actual size in millimeters, and plugged that into the X config file. But either way should work.
Don't bother measuring your screen, though -- just divide 1280x1024 by 75 each way (you get 17 and 13.65 inches), then convert that to millimeters. Then, in your Section "Monitor", add a DisplaySize x y line -- x and y are whatever 17 and 13.65 inches are, when converted to millimeters.

I added "DisplaySize" line and since then everything is working great, so many many thanx
Note that that's only a workaround, though. The correct solution is to choose a smaller font, but either way works. It's just that specifying a smaller DPI might screw up other programs. But it's your choice.
