Well its out today. Anyone else getting it? I am really looking forward to this expansion, simply because the single player of the first one was one of the best. Its about 10 hours this time I around but I think it will be worth it if played slow and without cheat commands.

Some reviews are in and they say its good and more intense. The graphics they say has also been improved and one reviewer even says it stresses new cards at times. Good to see snipers wont be as annoying and then there are the tanks and jeeps and a mode kind of like BF1942. Woot! If you have it leave some feedback please.

With gunfire and tracer fire all around, you must run from foxhole to foxhole in a desperate defense of the lines. And just when you think that things can't get more intense, P-51 fighter-bombers streak in on devastating bombing runs. It's an awe-inspiring moment, to say the least.

I haven't played the original, and I have waited years for the gold pack! :)

I'm going pick up a copy before this weekend.
I love the MP the most about the game, I'm looking forward
to playing some new maps.

I may pick it up. I could use a new game...but I look at all the WW2 games out now and look at BiA screens and I don't even want to play anything. I'd be much more content just looking at the screenshots.

*sigh*

I got a fresh one waiting for me at the local gamestop. Picking it up on my way home.

I'm not really a fan of mind-boggling difficultly, or trying to figure out paths in games in order to beat levels. I might give it a try, but I'd rather see a demo out first.

I don't think the original had a lot of puzzles or anything like that. It was real straight forward. Do you have reason to believe this one will be "mind-boggling"?

They say it is harder but I dont think you have to worry about paths because its pretty much straight forward. This time around zi German's keep coming unlike the first where you would get pauses or could wipe them all out. More intense!

Well I picked it up yesterday, and I gotta say, it's pretty bad-ass. The scripting complements the missions perfectly; the Gamespy review is super nit-picky, the things they complain about are not really noticable at all. I didn't get a chance to try the multiplayer yet as I also grabbed Fable (which is pretty awesome) and played that most of the night. Anyway, the new weapons kick ass, especially the portable machine guns. Damn, those are fun! The new magazine-fed German rifles are spectacular too. I like the German and Russian rifles a lot better than the American ones because the iron sights are generally less obstructive of your view, and this is true for the new guns too. Oh, and another thing - though there aren't a ton of missions, the ones that ARE there seem to last a good while, so there's plenty of gameplay to enjoy.

On a side note, expect significant framerate drops every once in a while regardless of image quality settings. I don't know what is killing the framerate, but it happens, but not too often.

I dont think anyone can play and look at this game and ever have anything bad to say about the quake engine again. Pushes it to the limit IMO, it gives the GT alot of work in some parts. Awesome game.

MP is awesome IMO and I like it better than the first one. The maps are huge and make the ones from the first one look tiny even. Tanks are neat but I can see them getting old and abused. Only played 3 of the maps so gotta try out the rest. :drooling:

Got a problem here, I can't install it on windows2003. There's a setup.ini file in the folder, which I modified to let it support windows2003, still doesn't work. Does anybody know how to bypass the OS check?
