Drop your clocks back to default and run 3dmark again. If your card does the samething, might try flashing back to original bios/w default clocks. Then run 3dmark again. Report back. Hopefully, your card won't be damaged.

Another case of someone not content to leave well enough alone. Read up in this thread (http://www.nvnews.net/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=33437) to find information about flashing your card back. If that doesn't help you, you're screwed. And don't even think about trying to RMA it back to eVGA.

Exactly...I just do not get why some flash their cards with bios' that are NOT compatible with the cards they are flashing.....I have a very hard time feeling sorry for anyone who does this.....

The worst part is that most people who do this can't afford to replace the card, and attempt (or are successful) RMAing it. ends up costing more for us users who know what we are doing.

No harm done fixed It had used a bios from leadtek to make my evga 6800gt to 6800ultra....so I just flashed it back to a gt with a mod bios that give the 1.4 to the core so I can oc more now at 420/1200..Now the speed tree demo runs nice...I used this guide http://forums.extremeoverclocking.com/showthread.php?t=121423

Thats funny mine did that too a couple of times before and it was rock stable. It happened when I was just browsing the web and not in a game. It has happened to me twice. Actually I thought it was windows media player 10 and dvd playback issues that caused it.
