My bro has a fujitsu-siemens "lifestyle" laptop that was top-of-the-line last spring, but it has that intel integrated pos (cause its a light weight model) and yes the games really look like that plus you cant even play them (rtcw unplayable fps at 640x480). I dont think nvidia couldhave found a worse example.

And whats funny is, there even JUST using the 5950 as compared to onboard graphics. Now add into the equation the 6800 series and you get the picture.

What a rediculous comparison. A Voodoo 3 would look better than that. I mean what are they comparing it too? An S3 Virge 2 meg, modded to run something 8 years beyond it's time.

The reasoning behind that comparison is due to the ever increasing market share being gained by intel's intergrated graphics solution. In other words, it's marketed towards the mainstream, not enthusiasts, or else they'd used an ATi equivelant.

Hold on, I don't want to criticize, or sound like a total jackass for saying this, but Xplode, what did you mean by your top sentence?

Really, no offense, but I don't know what you're trying to say.
Did you mean:
"No, it's to trick dumbasses into buying Nvidia."
or
"It's not to trick dumbasses into buying Nvidia."
or something else?

Again, I'm very sorry about saying this but, I just want to be clear on your meaning.
Once more, sorry.

Things like this really make me upset. I wish there were tighter rules regarding advertising. Comparing a high end card to an integrated chipset is pointless and we all know this. But Avreage Joe doesn't.

Trying to push a brand or a line of products with irrealistic comparsions (I've never seen a Fx5950 in a laptop or soldered to a mainboard) is only a way to deceive consumers. Law regulations may allow this but from an ethical point of view it is a fraud.

The RADEON™ X800 graphics technology is the world’s fastest and most powerful VPU ², setting a new standard in graphics performance and visual realism.

²RADEON X800 XT 256MB DDR compared with NVIDIA’s eVGA FX5950 256MB DDR, as measured by Aquamark 3, Halo - Combat Evolved, Splinter Cell, Tomb Raider - Angel of Darkness, and Unreal Tournament 2004.
Testing conducted on the following system: Pentium 4-3.2GHz CPU, 1GB PC3200 RAM, i875 chipset. 1600x1200 resolution 4XAA & 8XAF.

Almost as bad as ATI comparing their X800XT line to 5950's :nanahump:

It's calling you!
:lol2:
Now we can fully edit the bios so a cheap x800 PRO VIVO is even greater now. Mine can hit 555 on the GPU without vmod wich is absolutely awesome (Not even XT PEs can reach that soemtimes) but my memory craps out at 550mhz.
Now i could edit myself a 540/540 Bios.
You could also get a XT non PE to start with. The advantage is that you have 500/500 to start with and betetr chances to get past XT PE speed.
I've yet to come across a problem with the x800 and the IQ is awesome.

Ok enough ATI advertising now. Don't hurt me guys! :angel2:
