So, ever since I got my 6800U, I am unable to play Max Payne 2. My computer just freezes and restarts. Tried different drivers, ect... Anybody with Max Payne 2 wanna give me some advice?

Are you using a current 6800 Ultra bios that sets 2D and 3D frequencies the same?

reinstall the game.

Yeah... I'd say reinstall.. but it does a bit weird. I've got a 6800NU, and I've had no probs with it since getting the card. I run with all detail settings totally maxed out with no problems whatsoever... weird.

I played MP2 again for a few hours without probs. It's a really enjoyable game when you can run it at max settings.

I have a BFG 6800 ultra and have no problems with Max Payne 2... I guess a reinstall like the others suggested is the only way to go :\.

I played through the game twice on my GT. Once @ 1024x768 w/ 16xAA and 16xAF the second time was with 1600x1200 w/ 8xsAA with 16xAF. Great action backed up by a gripping story. Great game!

hell I can run the game @ high LOD as well on my system :D

res = 1600x1200
LOD = 4xaa /16x af
min/max/avg fps == 41/ 83/ 61.4

if yer having problems and patches and reinstall are not working something else must be buggering it up...
