Heya,

I have an "old" geforce 2 MMX 400 card and the fan is really making a lot of noise ... so I would like to replace it with a fan that makes no (or very close to it) noise. I have a looked at the Zalman ZM-F2. It's cheap, but it seems to be to big and I don't know if it will cool it enough (I suppose so ... "certainly" since my card is a little bit older. I don't want to buy a new one, although I have looked at the geforce 4 with passive cooling, but I don't need it. I just want to have a quiet gpu fan. It's the only thing keeping me from a "quiet" computer-environment. My cpufan is quiet.

I don't want a heatsink, since I can't use one on my geforce 2 it seems.

Thanks,

Michel

If you can still find one, purchase a Thermaltake Blue Orb or Crystal Orb cooler. When I had the Blue Orb on my GF3 it was pretty quiet. If you are bothered by that noise, you can hook the fan up to a rheobus. The GF2 doesn't put out a lot of heat so adjusting the fan speed shouldn't pose a problem.
