Hi all,
I'm having issues with one of the workstations at work.
I'm trying to dualview 2 CRT monitors using the 980XGL card.
The machine is the HP xw6000 running w2k Pro.
All other machines with this config can dual view but this machine cant.

The error message is: Nvidia control settings
Your attempt to change current nView display mode settings failed - Error Code 106.

I cant find the solution to this anywhere.
I have installed the latest v61.76 drivers and that didn't work.
I also tried to install the prev version which is 60.85

I can do horizontal view but not dual view.
Does anyone know what Error 106 is????

Thanks for your help.

I am having the same problem. Have you gotten an answer on this yet? I really would like to have the dualview working. I can do span modes but I get error code 106 when I try dualview.

I'm having the same problem with an XFX 6600 GT on my new rig.

Athlon 64 3500
2x 512 samsung PC3200
Asus A8V Deluxe mobo
Antec 480 TrueBlue
74gig Raptor drive
Win2K SP4

The only difference is that I'm using different DVI adapters. I'm going to get the original one back tonight and see if it fixes it. Other than that, I installed 67.03 drivers and it works - but I can't play most D3D games. Says it can't start DirectX 9. It's weird. I've had this exact card working in my old box, and my friend was using this card for about 2 weeks. No dualview troubles.

Fixed it!
It was my DVI adapter. My vid card came with two DVI adapters. I had been using them both until my buddy borrowed my card. When I got it back from him, he gave me one of the original DVI adapters and another one from his ATI card. I guess the Nvidia card didn't enjoy the ATI based DVI adapter. I didn't think it would matter, but it does.

Hope this fixes everyone elses problem as well.
