View Full Version : F\S: AMD A64 FX-53 (s939) \ MSI K8N Neo2 Plat(nf3 250U)
I had incompatibilities with my RAM(OCZ PC3700Gold rev2) on this board....I decided to scrap the build and go back to the P4EE. The combo has only a seen limited hours of use, it was occasionally OCd to 2.6ghz(13x200) but mostly ran at default.

Hate to threadcrap, but Pain, are you really ready to give up on the combo? You gotta believe the FX53 is going to blow away the P4 EE in games.. I know it sucks that you have to raise your timings with the OCZ memory, have you tried some good Corsair LL memory???

Shush you! He wants to sell! ;)
I've got a news flash for ya Bum.....My EE at 3.7(231x16) IS faster in games and benchmarks than the FX-53 even with it at 2.6ghz(200x13).
I'm no fanboy type...I go for what's fast and this isn't the place to open yet another AMD vs. Intel session.....but I've seen what both platforms can do and the fact is, my EE setup is significantly faster. Not that the FX is slow, it is as fast as they say....just not up to my current set. Here's a taste:

sorry, didn't mean to crap, just showing a review that shows the amd64s rocking the p4ee
bump
Don't feel too bad......that linked review was the final straw....all I could take. Its been bugging for awhile...that I might have never seen the true potential of the FX because of all the issues my setup had.
I went out an ordered an Asus AV8-Deluxe rev2.0....this board should do the trick ;)
You'll see this P4EE and board up for sale soon...at a good price one could crap on...
I thought you mighy have considered waiting for the nf4 that was just announced...
regardles... good choice and keep us posted :)
