No TV-out after hibernate

Hey guys

I recently started taking of the windows hibernate function on my HTPC which I thought would save me loads of time in boot up / shutdown, however I have found that after a power on from hibernate the tv-out function of my Geforce 2 MX400 (running forceware 61.7.6) does not work.

The pc works fine with tv-out during a normal boot up and I even get the message, "windows is restoring from hibernate" (or whatever it says) but once I am back in windows I just get a blank screen.

With its location in my living room I have not checked to see if it is outputting from the vga connector

Anyone got any ideas how I can resolve this issue ?!

Once you enter hibernation the screen won't come back till after winter (hehe)

If you can, try it with Standby, instead of Hibernate.
Hibernate is the lowest power state (most things are off).
Standyby is faster, and consumes a little power as the the memory and CPU are in a low power state (Hibernate saves everything to HD)

Something to try.

yes I know the difference thank you, however the whole point is I only use the pc every now and then so dont need the cpu powered, cause then the fans will be running etc wasting electricity and adding additional noise to the living room

thanks for the advice but I want to use the hibernate feature unfortunately
