my email is banned?

never been on this site b4, i post more on the guru3d forums. but ive been having some issues with linux and my 6800GT and these seem to be the only forum i havent asked about it lol so i go here from the nvidia.com link, so anyway when i tried to registered my name at the last step it said.

your email has been banned from this forum, ask an administrator

so how can my email be banned when i have never been here b4?

You must be using one of them public e-mail accounts like Yahoo or Hotmail . too bad these accounts automaticlly get banned when registering for a websites forums or something .
most forums are doing this which make it hard for people with no personal accounts to join in .

That works out pretty well. You eliminate the bad apples, and prevent the old ones from coming back, and those who are already registered on public emails will have been thinned out just from natural selection (maybe electronic selection?)

I don't blame Mike or Anand one bit, until you've had to deal with no-life idiots I can see how you might be sympathetic to their "plight". The bottom line is that legitimate long time users never have been/will be affected by this. It simply denies it for any future jokers and this has been in place for a looooong time, nothing new.

Thank god i registerd before banning Hotmail & Yahoo accounts . or i wouldnt be here anymore :wimp:

i wanted to reg for some hardware site last month just to thank a guy wrote a very usefull article which extermely helped me & ask some questions , but my e-mail was banned because its Hotmail & when i messged the mods there about why i have no personal account .. no one answered me :(

Most of the time if they email me I send them an extra email account I have. After they register I manually confirm them and change their email account back to the free one they emailed me with.
