Hi

Well i noticed an important bug with ForceWare 66.70 and 66.51 which leaked earlier.

When you use the "Refresh Rate Override" and set your Refresh Rate HIGHER than 100hz (in my case it was 120hz@1024x768 since i use a 22" CRT) you will loose a large amount of performance!

I installed the new drivers yesterday and wondered why i loose over 1000 Points in 3DM03 and thought the drivers suck! But when i read all the good results i couldn`t explain my bad results?! So i tried and installed and so on....

Finally i found the solution: I benched before adjusting the Refresh Override! --> Everything fine! Than i adjusted it --> :-( lost performance again! So now @ 100hz everything is fine again!

Hope i could help somebody!

Interesting! I'd posted in the 66.70 thread about the big 3DMark03 performance hit. I was running at 1024x768 and 120hz. I'll have to try 85hz when I get home from work.

Yeah, same happens to me @ 120hz! Using 100hz everything is fine: Almost 13000 Points, and around 11500 with 120hz!?

Strange....

I discovered something else related to this. Forcing Refresh in the control panel causes issues with CS:S beta, at least at 1600x1200 and 85hz. I got display corruption at the top and reduced fps. I've gone back to using the RefreshForce utility to set my refresh rates, rather than Refresh Force in the driver control panel. I hope nvidia is aware of this issue in their latest drivers, as it's still present in the 66.81's.
