Classic, or modern?
Duke Nukem 3d is my all time favourite.
Half-Life and it's respective mods is my 'general' favourite.
I am also quite fond the R6 series.

yeah half life is pretty amazing.. gave me nightmares for days when i played it for the first time.. actually fell of my chair.. :( :)

The first game I played is my favorite classic I guess. Classic to me anyway, it's kind of obscure now. Starflight by Binary Systems/EA (1985). I really liked Wing Commander a lot also.

So many good games though... I can't pick a modern favorite, there's to many excellent titles IMO. :)

Mech Warrior was my fav , but since the franchies stopped (which is sad :( ) i switched to Morrowind , but i lost all my saved games in it too ! .. so i had to switch to something else :p ... but i couldent decide which one so far .

Yeah, that franchise was handled really wierdly. Mechwarrior 1&2 were developed by one developer, then Mechwarrior 3 by another, then Mechwarrior 4 by another, then other non-mechwarrior games set in the Battletech universe started popping up like Mech Commander and Mechassault. I still think Mechwarrior 3 was the best, I wish they'd make a true sequel to that. Still, Mechassault 2 looks pretty nice, I do have high hopes for that game (especially the whole galactic conquest online thing).

Starcraft is my favorite of all time...followed closely by Counter-strike....and now Warhammer 40k:Dawn of War has snuck its way on to my top 3.

different genres different faves. fps would have to be halflife (halo is second, DONT FLAME!). rts is starcraft, bar none. and i dont play the rest of the crap out there (come on, SIMS?)

Damn!...Favorite game?.....That's really a hard question, for me..So many games, so much fun :D
Staying away from shock & awe value. I'd have to go with Baldurs Gate, NeverWinter Nights followed close by Half-Life.

The original Unreal Tournament (1999) That game is still as fun today as it was then.

I've gotta jump on the original UT bandwagon, it completely changed online FPS. And UT2004 is just making things better, onslaught mode is WAY too much fun. :)
