I noticed this (http://www.xbitlabs.com/news/mobile/display/20041001053948.html) on Xbitlabs, Eurocom unveiled Eurocom D900T Phantom laptop with Mobile 6800 Go MXM graphic card, 6800 Go is codenamed NV41M, I think it will be 16 pipeline and the laptop will shipping on 15 October.
I want a brand new Athlon 64 laptop with 6800 Go for months and now it get closer so I can buy it soon to replace my laptop bought from Ebay 4 months ago. :)

Aye, cant wait to see how many quads it has, also i dont understand why they would use ddrII memory, typo? maybe not?

Has to be. No one would be stupid enough to put ultra hot DDR2 into a laptop. It must be DDR or DDR3.
That's one sweet laptop, but why can't I ever find a laptop with a top-end mobile nvidia gfx chip AND an A64? I know voodoo has A64s, but they're way too expensive (& no nv chip). eMachines has some A64 machines out, but no nv chip. Compaq has A64 machines w/ old nv chips (GF 440MX). Since I use linux the majority of my computing time, I need a laptop with an nvidia chip. As far as AMD as concerned, I'm just a diehard AMD fanboy, and refuse to go intel... :firedevil

That is a very nice DTR, but it does not use MXM. It uses a proprietary technology made by Sager/Clevo that has aspects of MXM & Axiom to create a module based notebook video card that can use either nVidia chips or ATi chips but is still user upgradable.
Also, nVidia apparently has an NDA on the chips themselves until the 8th of November, so don't expect much until then.

Also, notice that the Xbit article does not use the term "MXM" anywhere. It is still PCI-Express, though.

Yeah, is MXM dead? I was worried when I didn't see mention of MXM is any article.
The ODM's are instead just using the MXM/Axiom's characteristics to fit their needs. MXM is a good idea on paper, apparently, but doesn't fit how Clevo has setup their notebooks. So they just made their own. Whether or not other ODM's will adopt MXM is unlikely, as ATi has such a huge presence, & ATi is not telling the ODM's to build around the card, as the MXM does, but gives general specifications to make a module based/user swappable notebook video card without giving specific sizes.
Whichever way you prefer, all ODM's up to this point have made their own, & that's what they're still doing, but are using nVidia/ATi's research/recommendations to make a general outline that meets their business needs.
