I'm benching my system (in sig) and I'm getting 4400 in the mem bench. So I go into bios and enable Peformance mode and get 4800 in mem bench. Si Soft says I should be getting 5000+ with my 875p Chipset and PC3200 C2 512x2 memory.
What am I doing wrong, I want to get all the best performance out of my system without overclocking a bunch.
I tried the performance mode "turbo" on the Jumperfree options and that rebooted the pc. But performance mode enabled for memory works through the Si Soft bench. Haven't tried games but I'm sure it will work, any advice is appreciated! Thanks!

This may sound simple, and it is, do you have your memory modules set up in Dual Channel Operation? Each module would be placed in the two blue DIMM sockets on the mobo. :)
You may find this thread a good read as well - http://www.nvnews.net/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=36640

Yea in the bios on startup it even says "Dual Channel, Linear Mode" and I have the 2 sticks on slots 1 and 3. I'm just shy of the performance, but as far as I know I should be at performance or higher.
My cpu benches were higher than the norm. I just want my memory to be high performers, I wonder if there are hidden bios settings like on the gigabyte mobos you hold F1 before going into a bios setting.

I haven't heard of any hidden setting in a P4C800-E Dx BIOS. Your bandwidth seems a bit off to me though, from the pics I provided you can see I am close to matching your Dual Channel bandwidth with my single channel config @ 45Mhz over FSB. In dual channel mode, I almost double the bandwidth. :eek2:
Interesting to see what you find. Hope that thread I linked was a tad helpful though...

Well something I guess I could bring to your attention, I have that Creative Platinum 5.1 sound card with a 5.25 slot extension. And in PCI slot 3 I think it is...the middle PCI slot..I had the creative card in there...and when i was loading windows...the drivers wouldn't find the card..and whenever the win-drivers would load would lock my system. I switch my card to the lower slot 4...and then everything works fine. Was kinda weird that my board would do that, but I wonder if that slot is defective.
Anyhow I don't think that should affect my memory score. I just thought maybe there might* be a connection. That's really the only problem I've had, unless I guess I didn't install my chipset drivers correctly. Or most up to date, I'm just kinda aw struck that I don't get these good memory scores. Kind of disappointed really... :|

This is what I'm talking about my score in Sandra is off...or either that or my CP Wizard score is.

Well going by the PC Wizard 2004 results, that looks a lot like me @ 200Mhz FSB as well. :) It's been about 8 months since I used Sandra last, though I don't remember the results though. I didn't really care for the proggy to be honest.
I'm willing to give it a go again though if you would like? If that is the latest, I will grab a trial version to compare with ya. :)

Please that would be great and hopefully we'll see a bug or something here.
Thanks!

Ok, here it is:
Info is in the title, however I will provide it anyhow. :) #1 is 200Mhz FSB w/2.5-3-3-5 Memory Timings, #2 is 245Mhz FSB w/3-4-4-5 Timings.

Huh so I'm right on I guess, interesting. Didn't quite think that was the case but it was. Well, maybe I'll try overclocking, I just hope there's a lock on the agp/pci buses automatically.

There isn't, you have to enable that yourself. Page 4-15 of the manual points this out. Under Jumper Free Configuration, once you have set it to manual, you will have another option. This option is called, "AGP/PCI Frequency (MHz)." It is set to "Auto" by default. If you set it to "66.66/33.33," it will then lock the AGP/PCI clocks. :)

ahhhh ....how did you unlock your multiplier...isn't that always locked with P4's?
Is it that 1018.7039 something bios?
Also I tried o/cing..and after I locked the agp/pci...my 6800gt would fail all the o/c tests I tried.
Was weird...
