Well I give credit for the adaptation but it is pretty unoriginal. As most of you probably know (but some might not,) that was stolen from this:

I think it's absolutely pathetic that anyone would make fun of mentally challenged people.

Democrats are putting this out there and you want to ignore it for some reason. Why not just say (as the average person would) this is terrible and it should be removed from the Tenn. DNC advertising schedule? This thread was already "one of those threads".

Advertising schedule? You really think this is an official statement? It's a photocopy for god's sake.
What I was referring to is that the site in question doesn't exactly represent people I'd trust with, well, anything. They equate homosexuality with pedophilia, and accuse Planned Parenthood of covering up child molestation, by implying that PP not breaking confidentiality equates to them endorsing child molestation. They're a bunch of wackos, to put it bluntly.
That's what I meant by that "come on". This very, very tasteless joke (in my, as well as most sane people's, opinion) is just your average crap off the internet.
Even the simplest google search will bring you this:
Tennessee Democrats Respond to Republican Dirty Trick
Tennessee Democratic Party Chairman Randy Button released the following statement today regarding the Team GOP news release accusing Tennessee Democrats of distributing a flyer denigrating handicapped children and the Special Olypmics:
“ This disgusting flyer is a dirty trick by Republicans to try and smear Craig Fitzhugh and the Democratic Party in Tennessee. We are shocked and appalled that they would stoop to this level to try and score political points. Craig Fitzhugh is one of the most honorable, upright men in the Tennessee Legislature, and everyone who knows him knows that he is a champion of children and those with disabilities.
“ I am calling on Republican Party Chairwoman Beth Harwell, Craig Fitzhugh’s colleague in the House of Representatives, to put an end to this. We may not agree on politics, but Beth and I can both agree to the character and principles of Craig Fitzhugh. This is the work of shady Republican operatives, and is reminiscent of the Nixon-era Watergate burglaries. This is just the latest in a long history of dirty politics on the part of Republicans.
" Craig Fitzhugh has called on the District Attorney to investigate the source of this disgusting flyer. We have every intention of getting to the bottom of this disturbing incident.”

See? There are two sides to every story, and the one that comes from nutjobs is usually the wrong one.

Agreed, As a person with a downsyndrome brother who participated in the special olympics I find it deeply offensive. It's shows immaturity and certain level of ignorance.

What that site believes has nothing to do with this story. To say that they believe homosexuality is the equivelent to pedophilia there for this story is false is a far stretch of logic.
Now the problem with your google search and what you found is two fold. First you said it is just more "crap" off the internet then you proceed to give me a web site with quotes right off the internet. Second there is this little problem with stories like this one http://www.drudgereport.com/dnc66.htm.
Now I can back this up with how many Bush for president campaign sites have been broken into, ransacked, shot at and protested in front and with in the site its self by Democrats. This all shows a patter of behavior by the Democrats over a number of years.
Do you think you might just be blindly defending the Democrats against this flyer because you have some dislike for Bush or just for Republicans in gerneral? I personaly don't care about either party. I just call them as I see them and this one is pretty much at the bottom of the barrel by the Democrats.

I'm tired of both you and ultimate17 so I'm going to call a truce. I'm not going to bother with either of you any more, joking or not. If I see one more unprovoked attack/photoshop/etc. against me, I'm going to take it to MikeC.

I find that original phtotshop very distasteful as well. Down syndrome people, through no fault of their own, have enough to put up with without this sort of heartlessness.
The George Bush photoshop wasn't very funny either.

I thought you were doing the same thing... blindly defending a party, that is.
The whole point of my post was "never trust anyone with an agenda", regardless of whose "side" they are on. Especially when they're nutjobs, as seems to be the case with the TVC.
And for the record, I don't live in the U.S., so the outcome of the election is pretty moot to me, and last election I favoured John McCain. So, no, I'm not blindly defending the Democrats, but I am defending them, since I think they're being wronged in this case. Mind you, I have no doubt that it were *supporters* of the Democratic party who made this flyer, but since it's a crappily made photocopy (as well as being highly immoral), I don't believe for a second that it comes from "the Democratic Party" itself, and as such shouldn't be a factor in whether someone votes for that party or not. Of course, it also applies the other way around: the TVC isn't "the Republican Party", and as such shouldn't be a factor in whether someone votes Republican or not.

The sat/gib/vamp/sazar thing has been ongoing. Sure makes for good entertainment. If Sat is getting annoyed though, he needs left alone. The stuff can get old.
Hats off to Gib though, man does he take alot of crap around here, he sure is a good sport too.

I am not a republican or a Democrat. I hate both parties. I am not a conservative or a liberal either. I am a moderate through and through. I just saw this story and know how Democrats will pull these types of stunts. This is not something Republicans pull. Republicans do nasty tricks in more subtle ways but are just as nasty. I am not saying either is better or worse just that this one story is pretty bad.
Also I will remind you that it was Al Gore who said Republicans are part of the "extra chromosome crowd" and Democrats do have the opinion that Republicans are stupid. This is a well know fact. Just because I am against this type of campaigning does not mean I am a "right winger". :)

The progressives are just as capable of a holier than thou art attitude as any conservative Christian for that matter.
Oh, and I've met more than one "intellectual" with a superiority complex as well.
